It is with great sadness that I tell you that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ has taken the love of my life, Wesley Leon Andrews, to heaven at the age of 75 of a heart attack, this day, March 14, 2025. Wes was born September 7, 1949, in Loma Linda, California to Charles Wesley Andrews and Leona May Goforth Andrews.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Turner Andrews; daughter, Lauren Dee Andrews; son, Stuart Ross Andrews (wife, Risha); sister, Carolee Andrews Westervelt; granddaughters, Zara Bowling, Amelia Mae Andrews, and Margot Andrews; his grandson, Paxton Alister Andrews; along with a nephew, Rob Westervelt; nieces, Darlene Westervelt and D’Laney Jevas; mother-in-law, Betty W Turner; brothers-in-law, Edward A Turner II (wife, Nancy), Jeffrey Allan Turner (wife, Tracy), and Edward A Turner III (Edward’s son, Trey).
Wes was a fine athlete growing up playing baseball and a fantastic swimmer. His butterfly was just beautiful to watch. Wes became an Eagle Scout and traveled the west coast states in achieving it. He finally visited all 50-states in August 2022 on a cruise throughout Alaska. Wes went to school in Riverside, California and graduated from the University of California, Riverside where he played water polo.
Always smart, funny, giving, and loyal, Wes made everyone feel at home and cared for. He loved to read, keep up with astronomy, enjoyed his friends and family. Loved to teach and inform others of his vast knowledge on several topics. As a realtor, he was very giving to other agents to acknowledge their strengths then talk about any issue that may occur.
Wes started in home building, framing houses, in Clayton County, Georgia in the late 1970’s. He moved to Peachtree City and started as a site supervisor for a local home builder (Aberdeen). He worked with local and national home building companies till 2008. Over the next five years he was an on-site supervisor for two hotels in the Atlanta area (Canton and College Park). Then he joined wife, Mat, to become The Andrews at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties – Earnest, Enthusiastic, with Experience.
Wes enjoyed traveling, bike riding, swimming, working with his hands to make and/or fix anything. He enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren whenever possible.
Wes’ ashes will be spread over the waters at Dana Point, California where he loved to surf.
Peachtree City was his home since 1989. He was a member of Evergreen Church on Peachtree Parkway.
No services are to be held here in Georgia.
