Annie was born on March 7, 1927, in Stratton, Mississippi to Mr. William Carl Gaines and Mrs. Ida McElhenny Gaines.
Annie was a “go getter”, loved working in her yard and even continued to cut the 2.5 acres herself until age 90. When she was not doing yardwork, you could find her in the kitchen cooking and baking. Some of her favorites that family always asked for were her homemade banana pudding and the grandchildren loved her crackers with peanut butter and a melted marshmallow on them. She also loved spending quality time with her family, especially hunting, but most of all loved fishing with her husband, Cecil “Shorty” Ledlow. Mrs. Annie also was a school bus driver for the Pearl School System for 18 years until her retirement.
Mrs. Ledlow is preceded in death by her husband, brothers, and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Diane McBride, Sandy Ward, and Becky King; grandchildren, Tanya O’Bryan (Shaun), Dustin A. Ward (Anna), Tiffany A. Lepard, Stacy King, and Casey King; great grandchildren, Maddie Eubanks (Conner), Parker O’Bryan, Lake Lepard, Kross Lepard, and Kalista King.
The family will hold private services.
