Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 1:00pm on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. It will also be livestreamed on the Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/BaldwinLeeFuneralHome/live . Burial will take place at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, Mississippi. Serving as active pallbearers are Bill Vanderford, John Vanderford, Jacob Vanderford, Micah Vanderford, Clint Vanderford, and Marc Helms. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Brad Helms, Brent Logan, and Jeffery Cannon.
She was born on March 11, 1934 in Cohay, Mississippi to the late Bill Ivy and Everetta Dickerson Ivy.
Ms. Billie was a Smith County native, but resided in Rankin County the past 61 years. She was a retired dental hygienist at the Mississippi State Hospital after working there for 42 years. She also worked in private practice with Dr. Will Brown DDS and Dr. Robert Manning DDS.
Ms. Billie loved to read her Bible and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. In addition, she enjoyed cooking for her family, completing crossword puzzles, and floral work.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, George Ivan Vanderford; daughter, Everetta Lynn Vanderford, and great-grandson Pierce Allan Helms.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Helms, Jack Vanderford (Mary), Jeff Vanderford (Nell), and Denise Carson (Philip); 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Ms. Billie will be deeply missed by everyone.
