Billy Joe Haley, Sr., 86, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the V.A. Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be held at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home on Friday, May 3 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 4 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with an hour visitation prior. Interment will follow at Lakewood South Cemetery in Jackson.
Mr. Haley is the son the late John and Lela Dove Haley and is a native of Greenville, MS. He served as a sergeant in the ARMY during WWII, was a mason, and a member of VFW.
Mr. Haley is preceded in death by his wife; son, Danny Haley; brothers, John Haley, Oliver Haley, and Bruce Haley; and his sister, Leville.
He is survived by his son, Billy Joe Haley, Jr.; daughters, Dianne Westbrook (Bobby) and Becky Reeves (James); 8 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to CARA in memory of Mr. Haley.
