Bobby was born in Hazelhurst, MS on January 16th, 1960 to Lawanda Hodges and the late Bobby Skaggs. Growing up, Bobby was very athletic and loved anything to do with sports. He was the first ever recipient of the Allen Guyton youth football award doing what he loved.
Bobby graduated from Pearl High School. He was known for his contagious personality and all the fun and light he brought to the people around him. After graduating, his famous title of becoming “The Orkin Man” began. Bobby worked for Orkin Pest Control for 38 years in all different types of roles and gave work his very all. He loved all of his customers and serving others.
Bobby always put his wife and daughter before himself and in everything he did. He took care of them and will continue to do so after his passing. They know for certain that he shaped them into the women they are today. Even though he will be missed tremendously, they are blessed with the time and love that they shared with him.
In his free time, you could find him spending time with his two girls, watching NFL and college football (especially the Saints and the Bulldogs!) doing yard work, grilling on Sunday’s, and having time with his fur baby Stella.
Bobby is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Tammy Barlow Skaggs; daughter, April Skaggs; mother, Lawanda Hodges; sister, Annette (Rickie) Nimmo; in-laws, Norma & Norton Barlow; Robbie & Gretchen Barlow; his nephews, Luke and Logan Barlow; Jay Nimmo.
