

She was born July 3, 1942, in Jackson, a daughter of the late O.E. Dubois and Lillodis Bell Dubois. Nana was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church in Flowood where she sang soprano in the choir. Her love for Christ, strong faith, and unfailing petitions of prayer buoyed Nana through life’s storms. As a loving, Christian wife and mother she nurtured her family’s spiritual growth with her inspired devotion, and her family was central in all that she did. Nana served for more than 20 years with Dairy Queen where she was valued and respected by her coworkers and customers. In her free time she enjoyed watching tv, particularly Westerns, Lifetime channel and her stories. She also enjoyed quiet time reading her Bible and praying, and tending to her cats.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie “Junior” Gilmore; and siblings, Peggy, Dubois, Elizabeth Dubois, and Franklin “Gene” Dubois.
Survivors include sons, Scott Gilmore (Rhonda), Steve Gilmore (Sissy), and Tommy Goodwin (Aubrey Leigh); grandchildren Heather Love (Matthew), Kay Bates (Chris), Leslie Romine (Austin), Olivia Gilmore, Ashley Gilmore, Thomas Goodwin, and Eli Goodwin; great-grandchildren, Kylee, Kaden, Levi, Madison, and Violet; a niece, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation will be held 11:00am to 1:00pm, Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services at Floral Hills Memory Gardens immediately following the chapel service where Nana will be laid to rest beside her true love, her beloved husband Junior.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church in Flowood.
