

Carl was born in Wesson, Mississippi, a son of the late Marvin Burns and Bessie Britt Burns. Carl loved the Lord and was called by Him to care for others. Through his ministry with the Baptist faith, Rev. Burns and his family served several churches and their congregations throughout the years.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Belinda Carol Burns, and their infant son, as well as his two brothers.
He is survived by two daughters, Debra Burns Magee and Lindsay Renee Welch; sons-in-law, Carlos Magee and John Welch, each of whom he loved as his own sons; grandsons, Justin Burns, Samuel Welch, and Hayden Welch; granddaughter, Hannah Magee; great-grandsons, Michael, Jayce, and Grayson Burns; granddaughter-in-law, Kayla Burns; sisters, Carolyn Goza and Glenda Horner; and brother, Melvin Burns. He also leaves his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 2:00-3:00pm, Sunday, September 25, 2016, at Palestine Baptist Church in Harrisville. Memorial services will follow at 3:00pm, with interment in the church cemetery.
