Cherie Lynn Griffin

Cherie was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 17, 1960 to James Edward Grice and Dorothy Ruth Dawson Grice. She worked as a manager at Lawson’s, but truly considered herself a domestic engineer and proud chef. Cherie loved telling jokes and was always the life of the party. She knew how to lift your spirit when you were feeling down. Cherie was very loving and caring; she never met a stranger. An animal lover, Cherie was often referred to as “Dog-Whisperer”.

Cherie is survived by her wife, Donna Brown; son, Eric Griffin; grandchildren, Addison Marie Griffin, Sofia Bernardi, and Taylor Marie Griffin; sisters, Missy Booe and Ada Bezner; mother-in-law, Ginger Brown; sister-in-law, Jennifer Leist (Cass); as well as many nieces and nephews, a host of loving friends, and her fur babies, Bandit, Coco, Jasper, and Little Bit.

A Mass of Christian Burial from St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pearl, Mississippi will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 10:00 am, with visitation preceding from 9:00 until 10:00 am.
