D. W. "Wayne" Hamilton, 91, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Crossgates River Oaks, Brandon. Visitation is 4:00-7:00pm today at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:00am Tuesday, December 14, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with interment in Terry Cemetery.
Mr. Hamilton was born October 14, 1919 in Attala County. He retired from Jackson Public Schools and was a member of Truitt Memorial Baptist Church in Pearl. A Master Mason, he was a member of Leavell Woods Lodge # 0620 and Past Patron of Leavell Woods Chaper #352 O.E.S.
He was preceded in death by his son, Richard W. Hamilton.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Hamilton of Norman, OK; sons, McCoy Hamilton and wife Margie of Brandon and Dexter Hamilton and wife Melaney of Montgomery, AL; step-daughters, Vickie Hill and husband Terry and Wanda Crawford and husband Steve; step-son, Danny Matthews and wife Sheila; grandson, Wayne Hamilton; great-grandson, Jayden Hamilton; 4 step-granddaughters and 1 step-great-granddaughter
