Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
Danny was born July 23, 1956, a son of the late Alex Thornton and Helen Dukes Thornton, and was a proud life-long resident of Flowood. A hard worker, Danny never allowed challenges to stop him. Often he was more dedicated and diligent in his duties than many fellow able-bodied coworkers. Danny was a beloved longtime patron of the Waffle House in Pearl, an adopted son of Country Junction, and a true believer that many problems could be solved over a piece of pie and cup of coffee.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by brothers, Bill Thornton, and Bobby Thornton.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Garner; sisters-in-law, Tammy Thornton and Wanda Thornton ; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
