Dennis C. Phillips, Sr., 91, went home to be with the Lord on October 11, 2013. Visitation will be held at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2013. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at FBC Polkville.
Mr. Phillips served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 78th Lightening Division Anti Aircraft Artillery. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He received four Battle Stars for his service in the countries of France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany.
He had a long and enjoyable life and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Thank God we will see him again.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his daughter, Sheila Phillips; son, Dennis Phillips, Jr. and his wife Sherri, and grandsons Dillon Phillips and Aron Hunter; great grandchildren, Maddox and Memoree Hunter; and sister, Ellie Mae Warren..
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Dustin Malone.
