Edna Heard Sutton

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm, Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 18, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with interment in Natchez Trace Memorial Park.

She was born Tuesday, July 26, 1927 in Carrollton, GA, a daughter of the late William D. and Annie Lou Heard. Mrs. Sutton retired from Mississippi State Hospital where she served in food service and as a mental health tech. She was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church in Pearl.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James W.H. Sutton, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include sons, Jimmy Sutton of Brandon and Eddie Sutton (Pam) of Pearl; daughter, Diane Croxton (Stan) of Richland; grandchildren, James Ray Sutton (Dawn) of Florence, Marci McCollum (Danny) of Brandon, Ashley May (John) of Newton and Haley Sutton of Pearl; and great-grandchildren, Joshua and Brendan McCollum, Madison Sutton, Micah, Tinley and Ansley Faith May.

The family wishes to express their sincerest thanks to Dr. Teresa Mendenhall and the staff of Jaquith Nursing Home, Building 34 for the loving, professional care of our precious Mama these past 6 1/2 years. God bless each of you!
