Dear Tom and Diane,
     What a special lady El was!  We were grieved to learn of her death, but so grateful she is no longer suffering and resting in the arms of her Savior.  She was so wonderful to my dad his entire life and I will always be grateful for her faithful service as his nurse, but also as his dear friend.  She took care of so many of his needs after he retired.  She was so sweet, kind, and patient with him.  Please know that we are praying for you and your family in your loss.  I know there was great rejoicing by her many friends, and especially my parents, when they were reunited in Heaven.  Diane, you were a wonderful daughter and how she loved you.  Tom, you have certainly been a devoted husband and caregiver and she had such happy years with you.  I am also so grateful for you many kindnesses to my dad.  Much love to you and yours. Dianne,  I was so sad when my brother told me your mom had passed away.  I am Susan Smith, Dot Coon's daughter.  (we have connections in Tupelo also)
I have often thought of our conversation at Willow Creek.  I know your heart is broken.  I also know your mom's mind is as clear as it has ever been and her health has been restored forever!  Please, if you are ever up this way, let me know.  I would love to meet and talk.
I will miss the fact you are not there to check on my mom.

Mrs. El...Was like a grandmother to me. I grew up across the street from her and she always treated my brother and I like her own.  I still remember going over for candy in the candy jar(which she later gave me and I still have).  She meant so much to me! And I am truely sad over the news of her passing. Although our lives and this world is more sad without her in it, Heaven has the most beautiful angel with a smile worth millions!  I love you Mrs. EL and you will be truely missed!
