Eloise Thornton Suber

She was born on September 29, 1933 to Lacy Guy and Bertha Page Spears.

Eloise is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Thornton, father of her children; and Lee Suber; parents, Lacy Guy and Bertha Page Spears; daughter, Baby Girl Thornton; grandson, Brandon Joseph Chatham; brother, Brudell Spears; and sister, Kathleen Ferrand.

She is survived by her children, Peggy Steinwinder and husband Dale, and Jimmy Thornton and wife Pamela; four step-daughters, Marie, Lisa, Sandy and Clara; six grandchildren, Bo Steinwinder and wife Faye, Angela Chatham and husband Joe, Jamie Spears and wife Jessica, and Will, Samantha and A.J. Thornton; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Ellen Steinwinder, Cassie and Presley Chatham, Nathan, Logan and Ally Spears, and Eddie Sanders and wife Candy; great-great grandchildren, Kailyn, Jade and Austin Sanders; brothers, Francis, Floyd, Harce (Judy), James (Cynthia), and Billy Spears; and sister, Faye Hagan.

Eloise was a factory worker for many years then a homemaker in her later years. She loved feeding her hummingbirds and squirrels. She enjoyed traveling the world with her 2nd husband, Lee Suber. She enjoyed shopping, going to the casino, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was a special mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will forever be in our hearts.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be at 11am Thursday in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
