Visitation will be held 9:30-10:30am, Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Graveside services with Military Honors will follow at 11:00am in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Roselene Hurst Sylvester. Mr. Sylvester was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in WWII, and worked for several years as an oil driller in West Texas, and later as a heavy equipment mechanic. In the Sylvester family, he was the second of three generations to serve as members of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include children, Jack Sylvester, Jeannie Sylvester Brumfield and husband Harold, Sherry Sylvester Robbins, and Tandy Sylvester and wife Tammy; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
