Flora was born August 1, 1924, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Robert Cooksey and Annie Bland Cooksey. Flora was looking forward to celebrating her 100th birthday this summer and we rejoice in knowing her special day will be spent with her loved ones in Heaven.
Flora was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a dear friend to many. She truly had a servant’s heart to care for others and was a source of comfort and loyal support for those in need. In her free time she enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes. Flora also had an appreciation for the smallest among God’s creatures, the many birds that graced her yard and the birdhouses she placed for them.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Baugh, Jr.
She is survived by daughters, Shirley Ann Hildesheim, and Bridget B. Tucker (Bill Helton); sisters, Mary Baugh, and Jessie Hood; grandchildren, Rich Hildesheim, Tommy Hildesheim, Pai Hildesheim Cisneros, Brandon Tucker, and Joseph Dunnavant; 6 great grandchildren including her “special baby” Benton Alan Tucker; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm, Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with interment in Lakewood South Cemetery.
