Frances M. Grant

Visitation will be 2:00-4:00pm, Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:00am, Monday, April 13, 2015 in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2:00pm in the Bethany Cemetery in Sylvarena.

She was born Tuesday, January 29, 1918 in Raleigh, Mississippi, a daughter of the late R.E. Martin and Cecil Crout Martin.

Mrs. Grant was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Pearl. She retired from the City of Jackson Recreation and Parks Dept. in 1989. An accomplished seamstress, Mrs. Grant created garments and accessories for many in the Greater Jackson area.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Grant, daughter, Judy Ezell, and son, William Hall Grant.

Survivors include daughters, Wini Grant Harris, Carolyn Grant Ainsworth and husband Mack and Brenda Grant Mitchell and husband George; grandchildren, Joshua Nathaniel Grant, Kristy Ezell Ainsworth, Donna Mullins, Shelly Grant Groover, Marty Grant, Ben Harris, Lynda Masters, Macolyn Stanley, Kimberly Robertson and Michael Shane Ainsworth; 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
