Frances was born Friday, August 19, 1932, in Tupelo, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Carlos Hathcock and Willie Edwards Hathcock. She was a graduate of the Isola Consolidated High School in Humphreys County. She worked as a switchboard operator for the telephone company in Isola during the 1950's. After moving to Pearl, she worked as a waitress at local cafes. Her hobbies included puzzles of all kinds and watching her favorite television program, "The Andy Griffith Show". Frances delighted in spending time with her family and truly was a "second mom" to her beloved nephews. Always willing to help anyone in need, Frances will best be remembered for her kind, giving spirit.
Survivors include her nephews and their families, Bobby Hathcock of Brandon, Jerry Hocutt of Florence, Butch Townsend of Brandon, Billy Wayne Hathcock of the Gulf Coast, and Mike Harthcock of Senatobia.
