Frederick Grant Myers Sr.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home. Graveside services are 1:00pm, Wednesday, September 30, 2015 in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.

Freddy was born Friday, September 15, 1933 in Rankin County, Mississippi, a son of the late Vernon Samuel Myers and Irene Case Myers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. Freddy retired from Mason and Overstreet Welding and was a member of McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl. His hobbies included hunting and watching old westerns. A true “man’s man”, Freddy enjoyed mechanic work and building assorted machinery.

In addition to his parents, Freddy was welcomed home to Heaven by his wife, Carolyn A. Myers; children, Ronald Keith Myers, Billie Anne Myers, Nancy Myers Stewart and Frederick Grant Myers, Jr.; and siblings, Samuel Vernon Myers and wife Martha, Welford Lorenzo Myers and Jimmy Logan Myers.

Survivors include grandchildren, Ashley Olivia Singleton, Shaunna Dianne Myers, Andria Lauren Frost and Zachary Keith Myers; great-grandchildren, Tucker Muirhead, Olivia Singleton, Anna Grace Bryant, Autumn Frost and Alaina Frost; siblings, Homer Lee Myers and wife Neva, Sylvia Myers Parrish and husband Virgil, Glen Roy Myers and wife Betty and Betty Myers Butler; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
