So sorry to hear about Helen. I am so ashamed I did not know sooner, but life is so hectic these days. Again, my sincerest condolences to the family.

My deepest sympathy to Helen's family. She was a 1952 classmate of mine and I will always remember her as happy and full of fun. Her mother, Miss Gladys, and my Mom worked together in the Puckett School lunch room. Our families share many precious memories.

Back in 1982, when we met DEAR sweet Helen, she provided my husband and me  wonderful comfort and friendship  after our  little son died thru meetings with the Compassionate Friends group in Jackson,  Mississippi. Helen, was such a sweet person, I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and gave everlasting comfort and good hope by means of undeserved kindness comfort your hearts and make you firm in every good deed and word.

I am so saddened to hear of Helen's death.  I talked to her very recently and loved to visit with her over the phone.  She was such a sweet lady and was loved by everyone who knew her.  She was active in the Jackson, MS Chapter of TCF for many years and was helped by many bereaved parents.  It was an honor and a privilege to know her. She will certainly be missed.

Mike, I meet your Mom at Compassionate Friends. She was such a sweet and lovely person. My prayers and thoughts are with you and the rest of the family during this difficult time. I do know she loved her family.

So, so sorry to hear of the passing of Helen. Helen & I became friends through meeting at the Compassionate Friends. She was such a help to so many bereaved parents. i know without a doubt that she is having a beautiful reunion. I will carry her in my heart forever.

Mike, your Mom was such an inspiration to me and so many more during our first years involvement in The Compassionate Friends.  May you find peace in knowing she touched many during her life and now she is together again with family on the other side.   God bless you!

Helen Jewel your life on earth has been filled with trials and tribulations. I hope the joy of seeing your sons again, is your reward in heaven because you gave your everything for them and more.Your grandchildren are blessed to have had you as their grandmother, I hope I can be as giving and nurturing as you have been to them. God's speed in your journey home.

My dear sister I know you are in a better place You were my role model griowing up. Altho only 4 yrs older than me, You were like a second mother to me. To Mike, her children and  grand children and all the people who love her Just know I probable knew her better thany anyone in the world. She had many struggles in life but always made it thru raised three sons and assisted in raising her grandchildren was always there for all of her children,and.grands. It was such an honor to know and take care of Ms Howell. She was such a precious person. She would often tell me stories, especially of Hal, Edwin and Marty and spoke of how she would see them again one day. She indeed has seen them again and has rejoiced in the presence of the Lord!! I will miss seeing her every week but I know I will see her again one day! She has been such an inspiration to me!
