Visitation will be held from 5:00pm - 8:00pm Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral in Pearl. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00pm at Fannin Baptist Church in Brandon. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Cowan was a WWII Veteran and owner of Cowan Tile Company. He was a beloved husband and father and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, T C and Alice Slay Cowan; son, Gary Cowan; and daughter, Marti Prisock.
Mr. Cowan is survived by his wife, Frances Cowan; son, James Cowan, Jr. and wife, Tammy; daughter, Fran Cowan; grandchildren, Trey Cowan, Megan Booth, Triston Cowan, Samantha Holmes, Dillon Prisock, Kirstie Wilson, and Brady Brooks; and 6 great-grandchildren.
