No words I write can ever say, how much I miss you everyday. As time goes by the loneliness grows, how much I miss you, nobody knows. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. But all I have are memories and a photo in a frame. No one knows my sorrow. No one sees me weep. But the love I have for you, is in my heart to keep. I've never stopped loving you-I know I never will. Deep inside my heart, you are with me still. My heart still aches as I whisper low, "I love you and miss you so." The things we feel so deeply are often the hardest to say. But I just can't keep quiet anymore, so I'll tell you anyway. There is a place in my heart, that no one else can fill. I love you so Daddy, and I always will.

One of the hardest things possible is to try and put into words just how much someone means to you in your heart.  You came into my life at 7 years old, and I never once questioned how you felt about me as your "daughter."  I have an entire lifetime of memories with you that I will always cherish and never forget.  The love you have always shown for Bailee and Evan was overwhelming.  I know how much being their papaw meant to you, and they love you more than you could ever know.  I thank God for the time we had together on this earth, and I know that you will still watch over us each day until we can all be together again.  Your fun-loving spirit and contagious laughter will be forever missed.  I love you so much!

My Papaw; my second dad. You will be truly missed. You were the greatest person. You always found someone to talk to & tell a joke to anywhere you went. I will always remember how you would always say my Nanu spoiled me too much (even though you did, too.) I will always hold dear the memories of us driving around in your truck listening to music & of the time we made Nanu mad for days for buying a puppy without telling her. You have a beautiful grandson, Anthony 'James Creighton' who will carry on your name. The time with you on this earth wasn't enough, but you've gone before us to hold us all a place with you & I'm relieved to know you no longer have to suffer. We all love you dearly & will forever miss you.

I can honestly say that I have been blessed and am truly grateful for the laughter and the tears that were shared through out the years, and I was fortunate that he considered, and treated me as one of his own. For it's not always blood, but the heart, which makes us family. Words can not express how much this man was loved, and how much he will be missed. Struggling to find those words, I found this poem, which touched my heart, and certainly rings true about our relationship.

I know that it was hard for you
 to accept me in your life.
I was included in the package
 when mom became your wife.
You tried to gently ease me in
