She was born on November 28, 1936 in Pocahontas, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Antone Ungerank and Lena Arbringer Ungerank and she was a 1954 graduate of St. Paul School. On September 16, 1962 she married Stanley Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Otto Ungerank. She is Catholic by faith. Johanna was a beautician and an Avon representative for over 12 years.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Stanley Jones of Hot Springs; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Regina Jones of Brandon, Mississippi; one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Joey Varney of Hot Springs; two granddaughters, Jennifer Daughty and Jessica Daughty both of Hot Springs; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Max and Sharon Ungerank and Ernest and Helen Ungerank, all of LaPort, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Memorial services are 11:00am Friday August 20, 2010 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Pocahontas. The family will receive friends 10-11am Friday at the church. Private interment will follow in Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas.
