He was born on August 17, 1926 in Vernon, Alabama to the late Otis McDaniel and Francis Woods McDaniel. He had 8 siblings. John proudly served our country in the United States Army during World War II, specifically the 7th Army 3rd Infantry Division and eventually becoming a Master Sergeant. He was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church in Brandon. Never one to stay idle, he worked for several years as an inspector at Eaton Aerospace, worked building houses, and often kept a third job in addition to those main occupations as well. He also always enjoyed keeping busy with his large vegetable garden.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by wife, Carnell McDaniel and his 8 siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Guynelle McDaniel; children, Francis McDaniel, Gail Williams, and David McDaniel; grandchildren, Allen Williams, Clay Williams, JT McDaniel, and Ray McDaniel; great-grandchildren Luke Williams and Nora Williams; and several other beloved extended family members.
John will be so dearly missed.
