Visitation will be from 5pm - 8pm Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Bay Springs, MS at 4pm.
Mr. Phillips loved listening to music and playing his guitar. He loved his family and could always be counted on when someone needed him.
Mr.Phillips is preceded in death by his parents, John Oliver and Ruby Phillips; wife, Doris Phillips; brother, Perry Phillips; sister, Frances Simmons; and great-grandson, Stephen Butler.
He is survived by his daughters, Helen Ghassemi (Freddi), Benita Langford, Gloria Grantham (Pete), Pamela Phillips (Landrum), Donna York (Robbie) and Ashton Phillips; brothers, Leroy and Randall Phillips; sisters, Dalphin Wallace and Joanne Chezem; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
