Johnnie Ray was born August 15, 1958, in Jackson. He worked for Baker Engineering, where he retired after more than thirty years of dedicated service. An avid outdoorsman, Johnnie enjoyed spending his free time hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed shooting pool, baseball and other sports, and he loved his coffee.
A family man, he was a loving father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Fisher, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Dora Nell Fisher; children, Amber Neese (Teddy), Sean Fisher (Sabrina), and Brandon Lewis; brothers, Eddie Fisher (Sandy), Ronnie Fisher and David Fisher (Becky); grandchildren, Mackenzie Fisher, Nathan Rivera, Amelia Fisher, Hayden Fisher, Isaiah Neese and Julian Neese; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00am, Thursday, January 22, 2026, with interment to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.
