Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 11:00am, Thursday, December 4, 2014 in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will follow at 1:30pm in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Sontag, Mississippi.

Dr. Keith Grubbs will officiate. Pallbearers will be Don McCon, Bobby Manuel, Jerry Sensing, Louis Alexander, David Manasco and Mickey Yates.

She was born Friday, January 19, 1945 at Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, a daughter of the late John P. Griswell and Myrtice Hartzog Griswell.

Mrs. Yates was a faithful member of Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl and retired from BellSouth after 32 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie Ray Yates.

Survivors include daughter, Carmen Taylor and husband Gary; son, Matt Yates and wife Mandy; grandchildren, Daniel Taylor, Andy Taylor, Cody Yates, Cassie Yates and 4 great-grandchildren.
