He was born May 10, 1924, in Rankin County, a son of the late James and Edna May.
Mr. May was a faithful member of Truitt Memorial Baptist Church in Pearl. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during World War II.
Always active, Mr. May had a true appreciation for the dignity of labor and accomplishment. A dental technician for more than 40 years, he worked well into his 70’s when he retired from Blackburn Dental Lab. He also enjoyed tending his vegetable and flower gardens until recent years when his health began declining. His other passions included hunting, fishing, attending college football games, and activities at the Pearl Senior Center.
Survivors include his children, Earl May and Dorothy May; and granddaughter, Rachel Roberts.
