June E. Nash, 81, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013 at her home. Visitation will be from 2:00- 4:00pm Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Monday, January 28, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Nash was born in Egypt, MS to the late Henry and Mildred Gresham Ballard. She was a substitute teacher in the Pearl Public School system for a number of years. She taught Sunday School at First Baptist Church, Pearl and First Baptist Church, Morton. Mrs. Nash was also a published poet.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Christopher Eric Nash; sister, Jane Sizemore; and brother, Eddie Ballard.
She is survived by her husband, C.E. "Pete" Nash; sons, Michael Nash (Jane) and Kelly Nash (Elizabeth); brothers, Henry and Stanley Ballard; sisters, Patsy Young, Carolyn Finney, Jeanette Striedel and Shirley McKinnis; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
