Lacey was born December 9, 1983, in Flowood, the daughter of Glenn Baggett and Rebecca "Becky" Wallace.
Lacey attended all 12 years of school in Richland. She then went on to attend college at Co-Lin Community College, pursuing her dream of becoming an art teacher. She was also a foreign exchange student which gave her the opportunity to travel to Germany and Paris, fulfilling her dream of seeing the Eiffel tower.
Lacey married Olivia Watkins on November 17, 2018. They remained together until Lacey's passing, completing a love that started in high school.
Lacey was an extremely gifted artist who could see the beauty in everything. This included always seeing the best in people. She had a strong, fighting spirit that she readily used to defend others, especially animals. She was a passionate advocate for animals. She volunteered at shelters and rescued several dogs herself and loved them as her own children. She spread love and kindness wherever she went, even while dealing with her own pain. She regularly complimented strangers in her effort to spread joy. She touched more lives and made more of a difference than she realized, as she always remained humble.
Remaining to carry on Lacey's memory are wife, Olivia Watkins; grandmother, Rachel Wallace; father, Glenn Baggett; aunts, Brenda Wolff (Rick), and Betty Alliston (Rusty); sister, Mallory Sabins; niece and nephew, Rayleigh and Blade Sabins; father-and mother-in-law, Frank and Charlotte Hankinson; and her beloved service dog, Kahllie.
Preceding Lacey in death are her mother, Becky Wallace; grandfather, Alfred T. Wallace; and cousin, Mindy Wolff.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm, Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. No viewing or cemetery service will be held, as Lacey's wish to be cremated will be honored.
In lieu of flowers, Lacey requested that a donation be made to charity, such as local rescues MARL or CARA.
