Visitation will be 1:00-4:00pm, Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 3:00pm, Monday, February 2, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow in Brandon Memorial Gardens.

She was born Friday, June 15, 1923 in Jackson, a daughter of the late Malcolm Clayton Hardy, Sr. and Siddie Marie Horne Hardy.

She was a wonderful wife and caregiver at home for her late husband, George , when he was disabled for many years. She enjoyed working in her yard and raising vegetables. She loved being with her family caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She truly enjoyed traveling and over the years visited many places, including California, Texas and a cruise to Mexico.

Marie wore many names: "Mom", "Sister", and "Granny". She lived a long life and was much loved by family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Patsy, and brother, M.C. "Cotton" Hardy, Jr.

Survivors include daughter, Pam May; sister, Daisy Stribling; grandchildren, James May, Karen Beckham, Dawn Jackson and Dianne Adler; great-grandchildren, Josh May, Ashley B. Mohler, Kimberly Beckham, Katie Beckham, Keenan Jackson, Kylee Jackson, Amber Adler, Bronwyn Adler and Seth Adler; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
