Patsy was born May 30, 1934, in Helena, Arkansas, a daughter of the late John H. Luke and Opal Thelma Stanton Luke Screws. She was a graduate of Mississippi College and McNeese State University in Louisiana. Patsy enjoyed a lengthy career as an educator, teaching in schools throughout Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi before retiring from Tri-County Academy in Flora, Mississippi.
She is survived by her son, Mitchell T. Leverett and his wife Mylinda; granddaughter, Emily Clare Leverett; and many dear friends.
