Rhonda Karen Ballard

Visitation is 12:00pm-2:00pm Friday, August 19, 2011 at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Pelahatchie. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the church with interment in the Shiloh Cemetery. Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home of Pearl directing.

Mrs. Ballard was born October 7, 1953, a daughter of the late Claborn J. Hicks and Bertha Mae Slawson Hicks. She was previously employed by Farm Bureau Insurance as an insurance adjuster. Her hobbies included crocheting and the casinos. She also loved spending time with her family. She was especially proud of her first great-grandchild, Zoey Nevaeh, born August 10, 2011, and for whom she was crocheting a baby blanket on the day she passed away.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Ray Ballard; daughters, Cassie McFarland (Brian) and Angela Bennett (Eric); sons, Danny Ballard (Andrea) and Devon Ballard; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; nephew, Justin Holifield; and many “adopted” grandchildren.

The family extends a special thanks to the Shiloh United Methodist Church family and Stacey Rhodes for all of their support over the years.
