Ruby Dean Jernigan Thornton, 87, of Georgetown, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Lakewood Memorial Park South.

She was a member of Creston Hills Baptist Church for 45 years and then a member of Georgetown Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Woods Thornton.

She is survived by her daughter, Joy Delacruz; son, Kelly Thornton (Paula); sister, Peggy Barnes (Jack) of Ludlow; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
