Visitation will be held 5:00-7:30pm, Friday, February 21, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. A remembrance Service will follow at 7:30pm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Ray Thornton, son, Daniel Edward Fritts, and parents, Charlie and Lucy Bailey.
Survivors include: children, adopted daughter, Brenda A. Meek (Jerry), daughters, Pauline F. Burton (Larry), Debra S. Clarke (Erick), Vickie M. Broome (Robert Brewer), Teresa J. Williams (Pat) and Billie R. Appleton (Charlie); sons, Thomas E. Fritts (Lee), Joel A. Halstead, Michael D. Halstead (Ferral McCormick) and Randy G. Halstead (Mary); sisters, Mickey Peak (Robert), Shirley Carroll and Mae Bucklin; brother, Lawrence Bailey; 25 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and extended family, Waldeane Gaddis, Mike Harper and Chris Elam.
