Visitation will be held from 9:00am until 11:00am, Monday, July 13, 2020, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with interment in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
She was born April 15, 1946, in Carthage, a daughter of the late Dossie Joy Alford and Ruby Bettie Coleman Alford.
On July 10, 1962, she married the love of her life, Thomas Carrol Yates, and they were blessed to share 58 years together before her passing on their anniversary.
Sandra enjoyed a lengthy career with Jackson Printing Company where she wore many hats, including printer, packer, and bookkeeper. In her free time she enjoyed fishing and tending her flowers, but Sandra’s favorite times were spent with her family. She took great pride in her husband, children, and grandchildren, and was most content when surrounded by those she loved.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Thomas Carrol Yates; sons, Jeff Yates, Thomas Yates and wife Kathy, and Craig Yates and wife Tracy; sisters, Carolyn Floyd, and Sue Wells; 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
