

Stephen Earl “Bubba” Williams, the man, the myth, the legend, known by a fortunate few simply as “Pops” passed away Monday, February 7, 2011 at Baptist Medical Center following complications from a stroke. He was 59 years old. Visitation will be today from 4pm-7pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, February 10, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. He will be remembered as a wonderful man with a big heart, a great man who always made others feel welcome. Blessed with an unparalleled sense of humor, he possessed a talent for making people laugh, whether they wanted to or not. He was a dedicated history buff, avid animal lover, and connoisseur of music. Steve is survived by his wife, Lou Anne; son Christopher Williams (Heather); daughter, Melissa Williams; sisters, Carolyn May of Gulfport and Janis Dunavant of Memphis; grandson Finnian Williams; nieces, Amanda Bunner and Amy Carroll; nephew, Stephen May; brother-in-law Bobby Bunner; and several friends he called family. He is his son’s hero; his daughter’s best friend; and the love of his wife’s life. Pop’s, we love you and you will be missed.
