

Sybil was born September 28, 1918 in Flowood, MS to Luther and Elsie Mae Payne. She lived her whole life in Flowood and was honored as the eldest living "old Flowood" resident at the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast in 2012. Sybil was a charter member of Flowood Baptist Church. God and her family were her life and she enjoyed the great times that she shared with them. She loved fishing, camping and sewing and was known for her homemade Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. She worked as a supervisor at School Pictures until her retirement.
Sybil was preceded in death by her husband Kelly of 69 years on February 4, 2011; and by her nine siblings.
She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife Barbara; three grandchildren, Lisa Hamilton and her husband Steve, Randy Middleton, and Carla Odom by choice and her husband Darrell; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Erin Hamilton; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 - 8pm Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl.
Funeral services will be held at 10am Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Flowood Baptist Church.
