Mr. William Garland Blair, 84, passed away November 14, 2011 at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Chapel in Pearl with interment in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 PM.
Mr. Blair was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He retired after 35 years of service from Vickers Corp. Mr. Blair was a member of Grandview Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with friends and family.
Mr. Blair is survived by his wife, Katherine S. Blair of Pearl; daughters, Kathy Cooper (Richard) of Birmingham and Garleen Ashley (Richard) of Sumrall; brother, David Blair of Magee; sister, Faye Sanders of Mendenhall; grandchildren, Jenny Lee and Ryan Ashley; great grandchildren, Noah Lee and Parker Lee.
