

Zachary Boehle Loomis, 19, of Pearl, Mississippi, passed away on July 26, 2024, following complications from an epileptic seizure at Merit Health River Oaks. Born on October 11, 2004, Zachary was raised by his loving parents, Anthony Boehle Loomis and Amanda Stovall Loomis, in their family home in Pearl. He is survived by his parents, his sisters, Katie and Caroline, his fiancé, Emilee Boykin, and his grandparents, Joseph Loomis, Sr. and Veronica Loomis, Sam Plunkett and Angie Plunkett, and Lynn Stovall, as well as several uncles, aunts, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ron Stovall.
Zachary attended Pearl Public Schools and graduated from Rankin County Adult Education Center in 2022. He was a skilled carpenter and welder and had a passion for sales and marketing.
He loved his Savior, Jesus Christ, having grown up attending St. Jude Catholic Church with his family and most recently attending Truitt Baptist Church with his fiancé, Emilee Boykin. His favorite scripture states, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 (NIV).
Zachary enjoyed creating wonderful memories with family and friends, such as kayaking and camping on Deer Island, hiking the Appalachian Trail, skydiving with his father on his 18th birthday, and numerous trips to the beach and amusement parks. Zachary enjoyed playing t-ball, soccer, and football throughout his youth.
Zachary had a vibrant personality and a kind heart. He was known for his genuine care and compassion for others, always willing to lend a hand or a listening ear. To know Zachary was to love him. He never met a stranger, and his warmth and generosity made everyone feel like family. Zachary’s love was evident in his actions; he regularly called to check on his loved ones, offered help without hesitation, and was a constant source of support for his family and friends. He took special care of his grandparents, ensuring they were always looked after. His heart of gold shone brightest in his daily acts of kindness, from helping family with various tasks to spending time on picnics with his fiancé and sisters. Zachary’s ability to make everyone feel cherished and valued was a testament to his incredible character.
Visitation will be held on August 2, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home, located at 3780 Highway 80 in Pearl, Mississippi. A memorial service, led by Reverend Dennis Ellingburg, will be held on August 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., following visitation at 9:00 a.m., at Truitt Baptist Church, located at 3705 Old Brandon Road in Pearl, Mississippi. Zachary will be laid to rest beside his grandfather, Ron Stovall, at Floral Hills Memory Gardens following the memorial service.

Zachary will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
