

Eternal rest on Sunday, March 19th, 2023. He was born in New Orleans,
Louisiana on September 11th, 1974 and spent his childhood and early years in
Vacherie, Louisiana. Aaron graduated from St James High School in 1992. He
joined the US Navy in January 1993 and was honorably discharged in 1995.
Aaron met Barbara Robinson in September 1998 and pledged his love to her on
January 7th, 2000. They have been together for 25 years and married for 23.
Through their union, he became the father of 4 children which he loved dearly.
As a young man, Aaron gave his life to Christ and was baptized at Greater St.
Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana. After moving to
Houston, Texas in 2005, he became a member of Bright Star Missionary Baptist
Church where he was on the deacon board under the leadership of Pastor
Campbell. He recently became a member of Progressive Missionary Baptist
Church under the leadership of Pastor Raymond H. Hillis.
Aaron worked as a scaffold builder for multiple companies including Turner
Industries, Brand Scaffolding Company, Blastco and Apache Industrial. He was a
member of The American Legion in Louisiana. In 2020, he became a founding
member of The Boot OG’s Social and Pleasure Club. He had a passion for
baseball, fishing, basketball, and football with his favorite football team
being the New Orleans Saints (GO SAINTS).
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Barbara R. Johnson; children:
Keyshia Lewis Boyd (Walter, Jr), Tonya P. Russell, and Theodore C. Robinson
all of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren: Ja’Net Boyd Williams (Jordan Sr) of
South Korea, Jarell R. Boyd, Walter R. Boyd, III, Kyron M. Harris, Kaylee R.
Johnson, Roc D. Roberts, Amari Robinson all of Houston, Texas; Timothy
Williams and O’rion Boyd Hurts of New Orleans, Louisiana; two great
grandchildren: Jordan (JJ) Williams, Jr of South Korea and Cameron Hurts of
New Orleans, Louisiana; his sister Alichia J. White, nephews and nieces,
Brandon White and Bethany White, of Manvel, Texas; Terry White Jr. of
Elizabethtown, Kentucky and Deniscia Butler of Killona, Louisiana; his birth
mother Alma Houston (Marques Sr), sisters Tamia Houston, Monique H. Outland
(Larry), and brother Matthew Houston of Los Angeles, California; grandmother
Barbara P. Love; sister-in-law Sharon Robinson Harris of New Orleans,
Louisiana; son-in-law and best friend Christopher Roberts of Houston, Texas; a
host of aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers, friends that became like family and
extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Theresa
Johnson; grandparents Paul and Theresa Oubre and Beatrice Johnson; brothers
Edward H. Simmons, III and Marques Houston, Jr; father-in-law Eddie Lewis;
mother- in- law Ruthie Kinzy Lewis; son Timothy W. Russell, Jr
and brother-in-law Danny Harris.
Every conversation with Aaron resulted in a memorable moment. If he told you
‘he got you’, he meant every word from the bottom of his heart and for that
PawPaw will be remembered for a lifetime. Relatives, friends, coworkers and
former coworkers are invited to attend the services at Forest Park South Funeral
Home, 12650 Shadow Creek Pkwy, Pearland, Texas 77584 on Monday April 03,
2023 at 10:30 am. Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 10:30am. Interment will
follow at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston,
Texas 77038.
