Faith Muriel Olayinka Parkinson

Faith Muriel Olayinka Parkinson, age 97, of Pearland, Texas passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022. Faith Muriel Olayinka Parkinson born May 9th, 1925, to Percy Cole and Annie May- Nicol in Freetown, Sierra Leone. She was married to Merriman Frank Parkinson.

Faith graduated from the St. Joseph’s Convent School and went on to work as a nurse at Dr. Reffel’s Clinic. Later, she became the owner of a thriving business, the Caribbean Bar and restaurant at the Junction of Syke Street and Ascension Town Road.

Faith moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1979 and later moved to Houston. She lived with her daughter Glena and spent most of her time caring for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Isa Taylor, Dr. Verona Parkinson, Glena Parkinson (Olufemi John), Merriman Cisco Parkinson (deceased), Nigel Parkinson, Admire Parkinson,

grandchildren: Dorian Taylor, Konima Parkinson-Jones, Monira Parkinson–Cole, Nigel Parkinson Jr., Choe Parkinson, Malik Parkinson, Donato Clay, Zoe Parkinson, Malcolm Parkinson, Sowande Frankie Parkinson, Zamal Parkinson, Joseph Parkinson; and 15 great-grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Friday, January 6th: Viewing and Wake Keeping at 1710 CR 34, Angleton, Texas

Viewing: 4pm-6pm

Wake Keeping Service: 6pm–7pm, followed by Celebration of Life till 11pm.

Saturday, January 7th: Funeral Service. St. Andrews Episcopal Church; 2535 E. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581

Viewing: 10am,

Funeral Service: 11am

Interment: Paradise South Cemetery at 2237 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX 77581 Please join us for the Repast at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church Hall after the Burial.
