Hilda Dinorah Garcia, 83, was born on September 16, 1942, and passed away on December 18, 2025. Cherished and devoted, she moved through life with a steady grace—leaving behind a legacy of love that continues to speak in the quiet moments and shared memories of those who knew her most dearly.
Born in Guarlica, Puerto Rico, on September 16, 1942, Hilda was the daughter of Hilda B. Quinones and Reimundo Santana. She later built a life rooted in commitment and family, sharing 60 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Julio E. Garcia, whose love and companionship remained central to her story.
Over the years, Hilda worked for various companies across multiple industries, including education, chemistry, and nursing—roles that reflected her capable spirit and willingness to serve wherever she was needed. Her days were marked not by grand declarations, but by the consistent dignity of showing up, doing what must be done, and caring in ways both practical and profound.
In the gentler hours, Hilda found joy in reading, watching crime shows, shopping, playing sodoku, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. These were the places her heart returned to—simple pleasures that became sacred through her attention and presence.
Hilda was preceded in death by her mother, Hilda B. Quinones; her father, Reimundo Santana; and her husband, Julio E. Garcia.
She is survived by her children, Raphael O. Garcia, Julio R. Garcia (Elizabeth Garcia), and Aimee D. Garcia (Eric R. Vandergust); and her grandchildren, Valerie R. Garcia, Julio R. Garcia, Alyssa D. Lambert, Rachel B. Garcia, and Emily A. Vandergust. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Noah Tracton, Julianna N. Brooks, Kyla R. Jennings, Greyson R. Lambert, Elijah Garcia, Levi C. Lambert, and Koda F. Garcia. She is further survived by her brothers, Ray Santana (Vivian Santana), Chick Santana, and Anthony Quinones (Linda Quinones); and her close friends, Susanna Lara and Berta Diaz.
