

Born on June 5, 1973, in Laredo, TX to Bonnie (Battenfield) Hoover of Las Cruces, NM and Antonio Ramirez of Monterrey, Mexico, John attended Skyline High School in Dallas, TX and graduated from Amber (Amberton) University in Garland, TX with a degree in Business Administration. John was a member of the US Army Reserves from 1994 to 2002 and received the rank of Sergeant. John worked for Microsoft as a Principal Relationship Manager for the CritSit Crisis (CMET) team and received his 20-year award in 2021.
John had a passion for automobiles and racing. He would spend many hours preparing for desert car races with his stepfather Jeff Hoover, and friends. John drove in 50th Anniversary of The Mint 400 (Las Vegas). He also drove and was a chase team member in the Baja 1000 of Baja California (Mexico) in a Penhall Diablo he prepped. John was a navigator and a crew team member for the Hooters off-road desert racing team in Ensenada Baja California (Mexico). John was also an avid gamer and preferred First Person Shooter games. He played both competitively and for leisure.
John was preceded in death by his father, and leaves behind his mother Bonnie and her husband Jeff, his wife Tara (Mazza) and daughters Mia and Halie, his brothers Chris Chairez and Jorge Ramirez, and sister Karla (Ramirez Cantu) Sanchez. John is also survived by a niece, nephews, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service has been scheduled for Saturday September 17, 2022, at 11 am at The Houston Room 2965 S Sam Houston Pkwy E Ste 100, Houston, TX.
