Lerittia Marie Broussard

Lerittia Marie Broussard, 77, of Houston, Texas, passed away August 13, 2024. She was born in Marksville, Louisiana on June 21, 1947. She was married to Joseph Wilton Broussard for 35 years until his passing in 2011. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. She had a lively love for her dogs LuLu Lavender Broussard and Courtnee Broussard (passed away August of 2022). She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lerittia is survived by her children: Sonnah Turner (Spouse: Jack Turner II); Shaina Guyton; Joseph Lamar Broussard and Emily Broussard Govan (Spouse: Kemist Govan); grandchildren: Victoria Medrano Fields (Spouse: Jerry Fields); Gabrielle Turner Paulino (Spouse: Luis Paulino); De’Lexis Leaks; Jack Turner III (Spouse: Chelsea Turner); Kennesha Sanders, Elani T. Turner; Fallon A. Broussard; Olivia A. Govan; David W. Govan; Ziva L. Govan; Great Grandchildren: Chelsea Fields; Kaleigh Thompson-Leaks; Nyla J. Sanders; Nova R. Sanders and Luna Paulino; Siblings: Kathaleen Batiste, Benita Batiste, Denise Batista, Clearance Batiste and Melvin Batiste. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph W. Broussard; her parents: Clearance and Madiola Batiste and her siblings: Raymond Batiste and Sarah Richardson.

A rosary service for Lerittia will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11:30 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 10960 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77048. A memorial service will occur Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 12:00 PM at St Philip Neri Catholic Church, 10960 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77048. An inurnment committal will occur Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Houston Memorial Gardens, 2426 Cullen Boulevard, Pearland, Texas 77581.
