I was born Wreatha Lottie Lee Castile on October 10,1957 in Bay City, Texas. I was the devoted daughter of loving parents (George Castile and Lottie l Mims Castile) and I was unconditionally loved by my biological parents (Israel Mims and Virginia Banks).
I grew up in Galveston, Texas where I confessed my faith in God at an early age and became a member of West Point Baptist Church. After college, I moved to Houston, Texas and later became a member of Brentwood Baptist Church. I resided in Houston, Texas until my demise.
My dedication to hard work and perseverance allowed me to obtain many accomplishments during my lifetime. I graduated from Galveston’s renowned Ball High School where I was enrolled in Honor classes. I was looking forward to my 50th class reunion this fall. My memory of Ball High was a very passionate one. I was awarded an Academic scholarship to the University of Texas at Austin and after four years, I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Radio-Television-Film. I was a diehard Longhorn fan; I watched EVERY game; however, I was a sports enthusiast - I loved all sports. While in college, I pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. This was a very rewarding experience. Sisterhood is real!
I worked in Media Advertising for over forty years until I was admitted to the hospital on February 13, 2026. I was deeply passionate about media advertising. I enjoyed my job and eagerly discussed it with anyone who would listen. Passion for my job was effusive…to say the least. The perks that came with the job allowed for great travels and entertainment that I shared with many.
I leave behind my sisters (Wanda, Gale and Constance), my brother (Xavier), my favorite cousin (Juanita Williams) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends with whom I shared mutual love and admiration (we loved each other dearly).
Despite physical setbacks, my life was fulfilling. Know that I am at peace and in the loving care of my Heavenly Father now.
Love always,
aka Miss Wreatha/Miss Castile
