

She was born on May 13, 1924 in Pekin, the daughter of Raymond and Roxana Lingafelter McDaniels. She married Delbert L. Weyhrich on January 26, 1947 in Pekin. He passed away on June 3, 1975. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Eugene McDaniels and a sister-in-law, Marian McDaniels Allen.
Left to mourn her passing are a son, Richard (Brenda) Weyhrich of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Krista (Dennis) Koch of Nashville, one sister, Mary Kay (James) Johnson of Pekin; three grandchildren, Heidi Mehok and fiancé Jason Shimmel of Erie, Colorado, Brian (Lisa) Weyhrich of Charlotte, North Carolina and Christopher Weyhrich of Cincinnati, Ohio and four great-grandchildren, Adelyn Mehok, Nolan Weyhrich, Benton Weyhrich and Arlo Shimmel.
Adeline was an accounting supervisor at Pekin Insurance Company for 20 years. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin, where she was active in the St. John’s Guild, Bethlehem Society and served as the historian. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and was a volunteer at Pekin Hospital along with serving as a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader.
She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and flower gardening earning her the name “Flower Lady” from the neighborhood children.
Her celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin. The Rev. Daniel J. Bishop will officiate. Burial will follow in the Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the church. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is assisting the family with arrangements.
