
Alma was born August 20, 1929 near Farmington, Illinois to James Watts and Laura Margaret (Doubet) Fleisher. She married Wilfred (Bill) Rimington on November 21, 1948. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother Kenneth, and a sister Mary Olsen of Galva, Illinois.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-laws: Dr. James Rimington and Jill (Laun) of Pekin, Illinois and Randall Rimington and Linda (Knox) of the Villages, Florida. Grandchildren include Angela Chase (Keith) of Taylorville, Illinois and great grandson, Connor, Dr. J. Ryan Rimington (Molly) of Oswego, Illinois and great grandchildren, Jack, Kate, Sam, and Anna, Dr. Todd Rimington of Elmhurst, Illinois and great grandchildren, Michael, Ben, and Grace, and Dr. Laura Jaime (Rudy) and great children Arin, Caleb and Delanee of Prescott Valley, Arizona.
Alma graduated from Farmington High School and worked for the Heart of Illinois United Way of Peoria, Shissler Seed Corn Company of Elmwood, and Pioneer Hybrid Seeds of Princeton.
She was a former member of the Elmwood Presbyterian Church and a current member of the New Covenant Methodist Church of The Villages, Florida and a former member of the Elmwood and the Princeton Bureau Valley Country Clubs. She was also a member of Eastern Star of Elmwood, and the following clubs of the Villages: New Covenant Solo Flight and various card groups in her Briar Meadows North neighborhood. Alma particularly loved golfing, bowling, going to movies, card playing with friends, and the special holiday events in the Villages.
Friends may greet the family from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at Grace United Methodist Church at 601 North 4th Street in Pekin, Illinois. A private family interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the The Villages Cornerstone Hospice or the Pekin Grace United Methodist Church music ministry.
