

Born February 18, 1979 in Peoria, Amanda was the youngest of six children born to Wendell and Sharon (Arends) Good. She was dearly loved by her family including her grandparents who lived nearby. Amanda grew up in the country, attending Armington and Minier elementary schools and later graduating from Eureka High School.
A 2006 graduate of Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, Amanda was a 2008 graduate of Alliant International University in San Diego, California, with a Master of Arts Degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. Amanda last worked as a catastrophe team adjuster for Allstate from 2011 to 2019 where her work took her to locations all across the country.
Amanda was truly a friend to everyone who met her, and she was blessed to have had so many amazing friendships throughout her life. She was always up for a new adventure and loved traveling, camping, hiking and exploring. She enjoyed living in North Carolina and Wisconsin, although she was especially grateful for the time she spent back home in Illinois the last two years.
Amanda was blessed to be a member of Summit Point Church in East Peoria, where she also attended women’s ministry events and Bible studies. Amanda was a light and an inspiration to everyone around her, sharing her journey and her faith in God with those she loved.
Surviving are her parents of Pekin; two brothers, William (Sara) Good of Edelstein and Jason (Diana) Good of Morton; three sisters, Sarah (Matt) Martineau of Dubuque, Iowa, Lora Olson of La Porte City, Iowa and Elisabeth (Michael) Meister of Tremont. Amanda also leaves her grandparents, Walter and Lorene Good of Metamora, as well as her nieces and nephews including Micah Good, Mikaela Pender, Sawyer Good, Natalia Good, Kadin Good, Dayanna Good, Nolan Martineau, Isabella Olson, Josiah Good, Roan Martineau, Caleb Olson, Joshua Good, Callan Martineau, Isaiah Meister, Isaac Good, Elijah Meister, and Mariah Good.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Erma Arends.
Please join the family in celebrating her life at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Summit Point Church in East Peoria. Pastor Tim Harkness and Pastor Glyn Knight will officiate. The service will be live streamed via the church website at https://www.summitpoint.org
The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Private inurnment will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Hittle Grove Cemetery, near Armington.
