

GREEN VALLEY ~ Amy Marie Haynes, 40, of 306 N. Church St., passed away at 3:08 a.m., Thursday, Mar. 3, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born June 19, 1970 in Greenville to Roy and Sandra (Sevier) Johnson, she married Chad Haynes on Oct. 21, 2000 in Pekin.
Surviving; her husband; two sons, Ryan Wilson and Curt Haynes, both of Green Valley; her parents of Pekin, and one sister, Denise (Scott) Mayberry of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Amy had worked as a caregiver at Mardell Manor in Green Valley since 2009. Previously, she had worked for the Mason County Health Department, the Pekin Salvation Army Daycare Center; and provided housekeeping services for the elderly.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Pekin and had attended the Valley Chapel in Green Valley.
Amy was a volunteer for many community projects and will be remembered for her kind, caring spirit.
She played softball and volleyball in high school and participated in church league softball. She also loved watching her sons play sports. She was a member of the Precious Moments Club.
Her family wishes to especially thank the Oncology Department and the Intensive Care Unit at OSF St. Francis Medical Center for their kind, caring treatment.
Amy's funeral will be at 11 a.m., Monday, March 7, 2011 at First Church of the Nazarene in Pekin. Rev. Lloyd Brock will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., Monday at the church. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral service. Private burial of cremated remains will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
